Kurnai College – Video 2

This submission from Kurnai College includes two videos. The first video shows how from 2013, Kurnai College implemented a Koori to Koori Mentor program across its three Gippsland campuses. Young mentors with Koori heritage are employed to help encourage secondary school students with a Koori heritage to improve attendance and acheive better results throughout their college education. The second video was made by the college as a learning tool to help members of the school's Learning Community understand the hurt caused when derogatory racial terms are used. The college funded this initiative to help give voice to First Natons students and families and to educate students.
