That many indigenous people were massacred and displaced from their land. Rights were not given to indigenous peoples, and they were subject to racist policies. This included the taking of children, exclusion from census and right to vote, and harsher penalties such as jail time and executions. Racism throughout society is still ever present today.
Relatively zero education on First Nations history and culture.
