Anonymous 1294
Anonymous 1294 recalls learning nothing about First Nations people in their education, only about Captain Cook. They advocate for changes in education to include First Nations culture, language, and history, and for more First Nations representation in all sectors. They suggest non-First Nations Victorians should stop being racist, educate themselves, and support First Nations people. They believe First Peoples history and culture should be promoted through communal cultural days and education.

In my day we didn’t learn anything about our first nations people. All I remember is being told about captain Cook and our first nations people here where almost felt like they taught us that they where in the way. I knew nothing about the masacars . Nothing about the effects of colonisation
Changes in education…I work in education and you can basically get away from doing the bare minimum. Brining in some of the language …and changing even how we see the seasons..adopt a more first nations culture into our society cultural days and ceremony . I would love to see more first nations people here take up space in every sector and alot ..alot of education on racism
Stop being racists for one. Educate yourself Eradicate Australia day Start learning first nations stories of the land that you live on Be kind to forst nation people and not be judgemental And Victorians need to start showing up for our first nations people giving them opportunities
