Anonymous 1377, who has followed the Yoorrook Justice Commission and is aware of local massacre sites, calls for a treaty, use of Indigenous place names, removal or contextualisation of colonial monuments, and better education to promote First Peoples' history and culture.

I have done some reading, and followed some of the proceedings of the Yoorrook Justice Commission. I’m aware of some massacre sites (Mt Cottrell is the closest to where I live). I have a great deal more to learn.
I went to school in the ACT, and learned very little about First Nations history and culture.
TREATY Use of Indigenous place names and language. Removal or contextualisation of signs, monuments etc which glorify a colonial history.
Being aware of the process and talking about it positively. Paying attention to the recommendations that emerge from this process, and putting them into practice at local level.
