Where my Nan grew up and my Mum

What has happened to your mob and to country because your land was taken?

Dispossession, Mostly All moved away from country, destruction of places, Harm, people groups moving into our areas and people now identifying as our mob because we don’t (can’t) live on country, into NSW as well.

What are some examples of good practices or programs happening on country that could be adopted more widely?

Language programs, cultural heritage protection. Biodiversity. Camps.

What changes to laws or attitudes about land, sky and waters would you like to see?

Acknowledgement of our elders stories and upbringing.
