Deb Chapman

Deb Chapman, a Victorian of Anglo-Saxon heritage born on Boonwurrung land in 1957, is deeply committed to truth-telling, justice, and treaty with First Nations people. She remains outraged by the historical erasure of Aboriginal land, culture, and communities, and has spent the last 20 years educating herself and her family about the true history of settlement. She believes that understanding the true nature of colonisation and making restitution through treaty negotiations will benefit both Aboriginal communities and the broader community.
