Djirra (Health, Housing and Education)

Djirra is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation delivering holistic, culturally safe, specialist family violence support, legal services and case management, alongside cultural and wellbeing workshops and programs. This submission is informed by Djirra's frontline work supporting Aboriginal women and children experiencing family violence. While its primary focus is housing and homelessness as all Djirra's clients are directly impacted by housing insecurity, the submission makes recommendations to address injustice in housing, health and education.
