Reconciliation Australia is the national organisation promoting reconciliation between the broader Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This submission covers Reconciliation Australia's Narragunnawali Program; racism and cultural safety for First Nations students, education staff and families; examples of effective engagement and cultural safety at the school level; and curriculum successes and failures in teaching First Peoples' perspectives, histories and experiences, including teacher competency and committment.
