Peter Sharp gives evidence into Deakin’s involvement in the Aborigines Protection Act 1886

Peter Sharp, a great grandson of former Prime Minister Alfred Deakin, gives the Commission evidence into Deakin’s involvement in the passage of the Aborigines Protection Act 1886. Deputy Chair Sue-Anne Hunter responds, "this is the stuff that continues to cause harm today and it leads into today. So actually coming forward and researching your own family and carrying as well that burden of knowing, that is a lot."
