From overcoming struggles with addiction and experiencing homelessness to turning her life around through art and connection to her cultural identity, her story demonstrates remarkable strength, showing the importance of connection to culture.
The Torch's Indigenous Arts in Prisons and Community program provides art, cultural and arts industry support to Indigenous offenders and ex-offenders in Victoria. The program supports the development of self-esteem, confidence and resilience, through cultural strengthening and artistic expression where they earn 100% commissions from their art sales.
